I have been to Japan a couple of times and the more I visit, the more I fall in love with the country. Nagoya is my favorite place to visit because of my husbands family. To be specific, I have been here for the 7th time and I have come to love particular places such as Parks, Shopping districts, Restaurants and Shrines. Nagoya is located in between of Tokyo and Osaka. We arrived around 8 in the evening and went straight ahead to our hotel which is Located in Sakae area (main street of Nagoya). From the airport to our hotel, It took us about an hour and a half so we checked in around 9:30 in the evening. Outside of the Hotel Our hotel lobby (Hotel Silk tree Sakae, Nagoya) After we checked in, We went down to the busy and flashy street of sakae to find something to eat. We usually go to Osho to have dinner on our first night but we were kinda late cos they closed at 10:30 every sunday, so we walked more and we finally found Ichiran Ramen. I've seen this ramen shop all over instagram but never had a chance to try it so I was extremely happy to know that they opened a branch 2 blocks away from our hotel. It was my first time to try it and I was super excited! Since it was a new experience for me, I was kinda "wow" when I saw this machine. I thought this vending machine is just for hot and cold beverages but I almost forgot I was in Japan, where everything is advance and convenient. We actually had to order our ramen and side dishes here!! Isn't it amazing? We sat down and waited for our ramen. While waiting, I was also surprised with the interior of the place, It was also new for me. The set up was kinda private, like they have a single cubicle for each person and a chair. Come to think of a computer shop in the Philippines😂 The vibes were kinda "okay, I'll focus on eating my ramen and i won't talk to anybody and please dont talk to me" lol. So if you are on a date or if you wanna have a conversation with a companion while eating, this set up is definitely not a good idea. 😂 So finally our order is ready. My husband and I were both super hungry so we ordered extra side dishes.😂 Look how mouth watering their ramen is. More sliced pork/protein for the baby, hmmm maybe for mommy. 😂 what a perfect combo with a boiled egg on the side. One of the satisfying ramen ever. <3 We finished eating around 12 midnight and We got out of the restaurant full and tired enough to end our day. We walked back to our hotel and we passed by Family Mart (convenience store) to check what do they have. I have noticed that Family Mart is literally everywhere in Japan especially on the main street. They have it every corner which is very smart so we dont have to walk blocks away to pick up water or snacks. I took a picture of some of the stuff inside of the convenience store. This can be your go to place especially when you're running late on your appointment or catching flight without starving yourself. They have the necessary stuff that we need, from cooked food to ready to cook ones, from cold to hot drinks, snacks, face masks, make up, hair accessories, vitamins, you name it and plus the quality is on top of their list. These ice cream looks yummy Their yogurt section. I always have the oikos brand with mango flavor. The chocolate section. What a heavenly scene to my eyes. and one of my favorite, the Sweets section! Its almost empty cos it was 12mn already. We picked up afew snacks and ofcourse my yakult then headed back to our room. So this is how we spent our first night.
So far, So good. Time to take a rest cos tomorrow is another long day for us.
