So, our original plan was to drive up to Kualoa beach park today but I suggested to finally check the famous temple in Oahu which is the Valley of the temples. I've seen it a couple of times on instagram but we didn't really have a chance to visit and I'm so glad that its just on the way to our destination. The pictures look okay but the feeling when you are physically in this place is just amazing. Since we live in Punchbowl area, it took us about 25 mins (drive) to get there. If you're leaving from waikiki, it'll take you approximately 35-45 minutes depending on traffic. They charge for the entrance fee since its a private property. 5$ for adults but if you're a Kama'aiana, youll get a 2$ discount (Make sure to bring ur HI ID). They also give student discount and rate for kids is different as well, much lesser. According to the guide, The owner decided to make a place for their community and made it exactly same as what they have in Kyoto so if you have visited Kyoto in Japan , I am sure this temple looks very familiar to you. (I've always wanted to visit Kyoto😔) Look how detailed the structure of the temple is. This place just actually turned 50 years old so they just repainted the temple. The zen vibes here is just so extra. It's like you are in Japan and Hawaii at the same time. Isn't it cool? 😂 This a huge place, like if you wanna escape from life, you can just actually come here to walk around and refresh yourself. So If you're visiting Oahu, Make sure to check this place out. Experience a little bit of Japan in Hawaii.
